Kidsplay Speech Therapy is a friendly, family centred speech therapy service supporting children and families in the Albury, Wodonga and surrounding areas.

With over 12 years experience working with young children and families, we are passionate about helping children meet their goals and develop new skills

We are a mobile service providing speech therapy in the home, school, childcare/kinder and community

We have extensive experience working with Autistic children and their families, from supporting with diagnosis to transitioning to school, and supporting in the classroom. We are Hanen More than Words trained, and take a neurodiversity- affirming approach to supporting Autistic kids.

Working where it counts

We understand that children learn best in their own environments with familiar people. We work with the child in the places that are important to them and their families, including home, childcares, kinders, schools, parks, libraries etc, and as such we are a fully mobile service

Family centred

Kidsplay Speech Therapy understands the important role parents/caregivers play in supporting their child's development . We work closely with families and Educators to increase their knowledge and skills to best support the child and to meet meaningful goals.

We coach families to be able to continue with therapy strategies at home, so skills are being worked on multiple times a day, not just one hour a week.

Flexible Approach

Kidplay Speech Therapy can offer services via a number of methods including face to face, over the phone or Telehealth (Video). Kidsplay Speech Therapy has experience delivering Telehealth services to clients that are nationwide. Telehealth is particularly helpful for parent coaching sessions, or working with older children.

About Kidsplay Speech Therapy

Nicole Dunger - Speech Pathologist, Owner

Nicole has 12 years experience as a Paediatric Speech Pathologist, starting her career as a schools and Early Intervention therapist for a non-profit organisation in Wangaratta, to then providing Speech Services for a private practice in Darwin, servicing clinic based and remote communities across the Northern Territory.

Nicole spent 7 years as a Speech Therapist/ Key Worker providing early intervention services in the North/Western Suburbs of Melbourne, working with children from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds, with varying needs, including Autism, medical/genetic conditions, developmental delays and speech/ language difficulties.

Nicole is passionate about empowering families to feel confident in supporting their child's goals. She is a motivated Therapist who is able to create a fun and engaging therapy environment. By incorporating the child's interests, and sensory preferences into each session, she fosters a sense of excitement and curiosity that encourages active participation.

Nicole is a certified Practising Speech Pathologist, a member of Speech Pathology Australia, and has valid NSW/VIC Working with Children checks. She has extensive experience providing

services under the NDIS.

Nicole has returned to the region, and spends her free time playing with her 3 year old son, and chasing after the family dog.

We can not see NDIA (Agency) managed clients

NDIS services are charged in line with the current NDIS price guide, $193.99/hr, travel is charged at NDIS rates on a pro rata basis.
